Invisalign®
Invisalign® is a set of clear removable aligners that are worn over the teeth. These aligners can be removed to allow you to eat, brush, and floss normally. Invisalign® is comfortable, convenient, and easy to use.
Teeth that are crowded, gapped, or misaligned are more difficult to clean. Over time, this can lead to increased risks of tooth decay and gum disease. Crowded and misaligned teeth are also more prone to crack and wear. Straightening with Invisalign® can protect against these issues.
Invisalign® is a non-invasive, aesthetic solution for straightening teeth. If your teeth are crowded, gapped, or misaligned, Invisalign® can give you a healthier, more beautiful smile.
First, you will have a consultation with Dr. Alvarado at our local dental office. We will determine if you are a good candidate for using Invisalign®. A 3D model is created of your teeth. This model is used to design the steps of your individualized treatment plan. With this model, you can see what your teeth will look like after treatment.
Invisalign® aligners are custom-fabricated for your teeth. About every two to four weeks, you will change to a new, slightly straighter aligner.
South Florida Invisalign® patients experience less pain, discomfort, and mouth sores than patients with traditional metal braces. Invisalign® also has a lower risk of plaque buildup during treatment since you can remove aligners for proper brushing and flossing.

Invisalign FAQs
How Does Invisalign® Work?
Invisalign® makes plastic aligners that fit snugly over your teeth using 3D imaging technology and computer-aided design (CAD) software. Each set of aligners is worn for two weeks before being switched out for another pair to gradually move your teeth into alignment with minimal discomfort or visibility from others around you. The number of sets you need will depend on your situation but generally ranges between 10–30 sets per arch (upper or lower).
Benefits of Invisalign®
The most obvious benefit of using Invisalign® instead of traditional braces is the improved aesthetics. Unlike metal brackets and wires, Invisalign® aligners are invisible when worn so that you can smile confidently during treatment. Additionally, because the aligners are removable for eating and brushing/flossing your teeth, you’ll have an easier time maintaining good oral hygiene throughout treatment.
How Should I Care For My Invisalign® Aligners?
It’s essential to take proper care of your Invisalign® aligners to keep them clean and free from bacteria or other debris that could cause irritation or discoloration of your teeth. You should brush and rinse your aligners daily with lukewarm water, then store them in a protective case when not in use. It’s also important to avoid using harsh cleaners on the trays as this could damage their integrity over time.
Will I Need To Visit My Local Florida Invisalign® Provider for Routine Checkups?
Yes! Even though the clear trays don’t require any adjustments like traditional braces, it’s still important to schedule regular checkups with your orthodontist throughout treatment so they can evaluate how well it’s progressing and ensure everything is going according to plan. This will help ensure you get the best possible results in the shortest amount of time.
How Long Does Invisalign® Take?
The length of treatment with Invisalign® will vary depending on your situation, but generally, it takes between 6–18 months to achieve your desired outcome. During this time, you’ll need to wear the aligners for at least 20 hours per day and switch out each pair every two weeks as instructed by your orthodontist.
How Much Does Invisalign® Cost in Florida?
The cost of Invisalign® treatment can range from $3,000 to $8,000 depending on your case complexity and how many sets of aligners are needed. It’s important to discuss payment options with All Smiles Dental before starting treatment, so there are no surprises down the line. Some providers may offer financing or payment plans, which can make things more affordable if necessary.
Does Insurance Cover Invisalign®?
Most dental insurance plans cover some part of orthodontic treatments like traditional braces or retainers, but not always clear aligner systems like Invisalign®. Before starting treatment, check your plan to find out what is and isn’t covered.
